Hi, I'm Amy. I live in Toronto and I love food - cooking it, eating it, sharing it (sometimes) and, now, writing about it. My relationship with food got off to a rocky start, as a very picky young eater. Through years of meeting new people and eating their food, my relationship with the food of the world has grown into a strong and unbreakable bond.
What I've learned is that food is a universal love. Our food tells the story of who are are and where we come from and is the best way to get to know people. It's the most universal language there is and that is truly reflected in Toronto's diverse, ever expanding food scene.
Carbs and Cocktails is all about sharing my love of good food and drink with you through the stories of the people who love it and make it, the recipes I try, places I go, and some tips and tricks I've learned along the way. I hope you enjoy!
